The AAF Tenth District Scholarship has the aim to encourage academically talented students of advertising-related disciplines by offering three $2,500 awards.

Selection will be made based on the overall presentation of the materials and the scholarship winners will be announced at the Tenth District Annual Convention in Shreveport, Louisiana during the National Student Advertising Competition.
The scholarship money will not be paid directly to the recipient but to the Financial Aid office of the Recipient’s College or university.
Who's eligible?
So as to be able to apply for this award, the applicant must attend a college within the Tenth District of the American Advertising Federation and those are Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas excluding El Paso.
Then, the applicant must be an undergraduate member who has completed at least one (1) semester of college.
Also, students must be majoring or minoring in Advertising, Marketing, Commercial Art, Photography, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Radio/Television/Film, and have an overall GPA of 2.5 and a 3.0 minimum in their field of study.
How to Apply
The application process starts by downloading and completing the AAF TENTH DISTRICT Application Form, or complete the Online Application Form and obtaining an official copy of your current college/university transcript and attach to the application.
You are supposed to mail or send all materials electronically to the Tenth District Scholarship CommitteeBesides filling in the application form which can be found on the scholarship provider’s official website, students must obtain a letter of recommendation from at least one, but not more than three faculty members in their major, and one page essay in which they will speak about their reasons for wanting to enter the advertising industry.
Furthermore, students should submit three to five samples of work such as design, photography, illustration, video, audio, musical composition, etc, with the scholarship application.
They need to be submitted as electronic files compatible with both Mac and PC.
Last but not least, the applicant should state sources of income directed toward paying their education expenses.
All these documents have to be submitted before the deadline on March 15th, so as to be considered for the award.
