The Allamanda Garden Club of North Port does its best to support education and help students who have plans to be the leaders of tomorrow and preserve natural resources of the planet Earth.

Scholarships may be renewable and those who received it are allowed to re-apply the following year.
Checks will be issued to the college or institution and the receiver will get a notification letter by U.S. mail.
Who's eligible?
Allamanda Garden Club scholarships are aimed at college juniors or seniors in an undergraduate and graduate programs or doctoral students with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Two $2,000 scholarships per year can be used for tuition assistance to students attending a college or university anywhere in the United States.
Those students who attend colleges and universities in North Port, Port Charlotte, Englewood or Venice and Florida will have advantage.
The eligible students must be full-time students who are pursuing a degree in the following fields of study:
- Horticulture
Floriculture
• Agriculture
• Environmental Studies
• Arboriculture
• Urban Forestry
• Agribusiness with an emphasis in Plant Science
• Plant or Seed Physiology or Pathology
• Plant Science, Soil Science
• Landscape Design or Architecture
• Coastal Wetlands Studies
• Conservation and Ecological Restoration
• Pollinator Research
• Botany
Students have to show excellence in academic and scholastic performance, participation in extracurricular, leadership and research activities and commitment to the horticulture science profession.
How to Apply
To apply for the Allamanda Garden Club Scholarship you can either submit the required documentation by email to: info@AllamandaGardenClub.com or postal mail to:

The documentation should include the application form where you will be asked to answer questions related to your personal data, employment experiences in horticulture and related industries, length of employment and recent academic honor.
Furthermore, you should submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher evaluating you as a student and
from an employer evaluating you as a worker.
Also, transcripts from schools which do not need to be official should be attached.
You will have to write an essay in which you will state the reasons for choosing a career in a horticulture-related field and your plans for the future which should be between 500 and 1,000 words.
The application deadline is March 31, and all the applications submitted after that date will not be taken into consideration.
If you are a winner, you will be notified by April 15.
