ACF is an organization consisting of professional chefs’, formed in North America which nowadays has more than 17,500 members in over 150 chapters throughout the country.
It organizes various national events, certifications and publications related to the culinary industry and offer help in terms of scholarships for people interested in culinary field.
The foundation which is of great importance is Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Foundation which provides donations on a regular basis.

The American Academy of Chefs is the organization which supports the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation and their main goal is to help students who attend education related to culinary field.
That is the reason why they offer a limited number of scholarships every year and they are for: Apprenticeship programs – the amount awarded can be up to $1,500, Certificate programs also up to $1,500, while for Post-secondary degree programs scholarship award can reach $2,500.
Who's eligible?
There are only two requirements that a student must fulfill so as to become eligible for this scholarship and those are to be an exemplary student with a GPA of 2.75 or higher and to be enrolled into an institution with a culinary, pastry or foodservice-related major.
How to Apply

The applications are based on a point system and your chance of getting more points is through academic grade point average, culinary competition participation, culinary volunteer activities and ACF involvement.
All the provided applications will be reviewed and evaluated by the scholarship selection committee which will decide who is the most appropriate to win the award.
Once the committee determines the winner, all the students will be informed about it by email, 30 business days after the deadline which is 30th April.
If you happen to be denied, you are suggested to reapply next year.
Bear in mind that it is possible that the scholarship is canceled if you fail to meet the criteria of academic progress or provide false information.
