The Arkansas Health Education Grant Program has aim to provide financial assistance to students seeking professional training in chiropractic medicine, dentistry, optometry, osteopathic medicine, podiatric medicine, and veterinary medicine to allow them to attend out-of-state institutions.

When you attend an out of state dental school, as there is no such school in Arkansas, you are charged the out of state tuition fees.

So, the ARHEG has made this loan so as to pay part of your tuition for you to help bring the cost of attendance closer to that of an in-state student.

The Arkansas Health Education Grant Program (ARHEG) is funded by the state of Arkansas and the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board (AHECB) determines the priorities for the applicable programs.
