ASWP is there to offer several opportunities to individuals who are interested in the fields of environmental education and conservation.
The scholarship is available for students who are applying to two or four-year colleges so as to further their studies in an environmentally-related field.
The applications can be submitted from the beginning in January till the deadline on May 3rd.
Who's eligible?
ASWP has to offer one $2,500.00 award and the eligible candidates for it are a high school senior applying to two or four-year colleges/universities for the upcoming academic year to further their studies in environmentally-related fields.
Furthermore, graduating seniors from private and public high schools within ASWP’s region, meaning Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland counties in southwestern Pennsylvania, are eligible to apply.
The payment will be given upon entrance into a qualifying program of study.
How to Apply
In order to be considered for this scholarship, applicants not only have to submit the completed application which can be found on the official website of the organization, but also have to provide a short essay, official transcripts, SAT or ACT scores and a letter of recommendation signed by a person with whom the applicant has interacted in environmentally-related activities.
This person should be a teacher, mentor, supervisor, volunteer coordinator or other individual who
can give an informed and objective assessment.

This has to be done before May 3rd which is the application deadline.
All the applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Review Committee which will determine the winner according to the following criteria: academics, essays, employment and volunteer work, extracurricular activities, and recommendation.
7. Scholarship recipients and their high school guidance counselors will be notified by mid-June
