The Central Minnesota Arts Board boasts Student Arts Scholarships to students who are trying to reach first undergraduate degree in an arts-related field.

The award is $1,500 per year and one person can receive up to four scholarships in a lifetime.
The Scholarship Committee will determine the most deserving 14 future scholars each year.
Make sure to submit all the documentation prior to application deadline one February 27th.
The board Review Date is April 9th.
The application guidelines will be available when the application process is opened.
Who's eligible?
The first question that you should ask yourself prior to determining whether to apply for this amazing award or not is if you are eligible for it.
This scholarship is available only to high school students interested in attending vocational, technical or 2-year college programs.
The Minnesota Scholarship foundation requires that students must have graduated from a Minnesota high school, and provide information on their career path or area of study.
Ten 2-year and ten vocational/technical awards will be offered each year at $1,500 per year.
People who can apply are those planning to attend an accredited institution full-time and major in an arts-related field.
They need to be residents of Benton, Sherburne, Stearns, or Wright County at the time of application, or US Citizens or individuals with permanent resident alien status.
How to Apply
The application requirements are the following:
- An official transcript
- Resume
- One Short Essay
- One Letter of Recommendation
The resume should consist of your extra-curricular activities, education plans and the field of study or interest.
Short Essay should answer the following question: “Why should you be rewarded with an MMC Scholarship?”
It should not be longer than 300 typed words, double spaced, using Times New Roman, font size 12.
Letter of Recommendation should be attached to your scholarship application and it should not be from a family member.
One letter of recommendation must be from a school administrator a teacher, coach, church leader or community mentor.
A current transcript can be downloaded from your school/college account.
You need to be sure your GPA and your ACT score meets the specific criteria for a scholarship category.
