Full Description
The Bob Eddy Scholarship Program To Foster Journalism Careers committee requires the submission of all the application materials prior to the deadline on May 1st.
The award amounts are $2,500, $1,500, $1,000 and $1,000 and there will be four lucky recepients.
The scholarship committee will determine who those four most deserving candidates are.
If you happen to be the lucky recipient, checks will be made out to your account, care of your school or bursar’s office.
Who's eligible?
So as to be accepted as an eligible applicant for this scholarship, students must start their junior, senior year and be enrolled at an accredited university in Connecticut or be a Connecticut resident enrolled in an accredited university in any state or country.
You need to make sure you meet all these requirements, as only those eligible ones will have a chance of getting this award.
Furthermore, all the applications received after the deadline will not be taken into consideration, even though the candidate is eligible for the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists Foundation College Scholarship.
How to Apply
To apply for a scholarship, you will need to complete and submit the whole application package consisting of an online application form, PDFs or other files of your work, a 500-word essay in which you will speak about a current event that caught your attention and how you stayed informed of the event.

On the scholarship provider’s official website you will find a link that will allow you to complete the online application form and submit materials.
Everything is done online, except for the submission of transcripts.
You will have to answer some personal and educational questions, as well as to say why you consider yourself a person who deserves this scholarship.
