The Chicago Roofing Contractors Association is awarding scholarships yearly and the amount is renewable $4,000.
The award is aimed at a high school senior who will enter college related to liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture or business.
The selection will be based on the academic performance, faculty recommendation, extracurricular activities, employment experience.
Full Description
The mission is this foundation is to support the construction, roofing and waterproofing industry in the Chicago area by supporting the appropriate education and giving a chance to future architecture students to reach high achievements in this industry.
The scholarship is renewable only if a student manage maintaining a 2.75 grade point average, based upon a 4.0 system and it can be renewed three times.
Even though the scholarship is awarded according to achievements, the level of need for financial aid
will also be considered as important criteria.
Who's eligible?
So as to be meet eligibility requirements for this scholarship, you will have to fulfill the following criteria:
1. You have to be a high school senior
2. You should be accepted as full-time students into undergraduate degree programs at an accredited
colleges where education lasts four years and which are related to the study of liberal arts and sciences, engineering, architecture, or business.
3. You have to be a United States citizens residing in Cook or other area counties.
4. You have to possess an ACT composite of 29 or greater or SAT equivalent
How to Apply
If you are eligible for this scholarship, you will have to fill out the application form which can be found on the official website of the organization and which consists of 3 pages.
Furthermore, you have to complete two personal evaluation sheets with a 1-page letter of recommendation, which should be from a high school faculty member/guidance counselor and a non-related adult outside the
high school faculty.
Also, an official transcript of all high school records and official ACT or SAT results should be submitted.
