The Curtis Institute of Music provides scholarships to all undergraduate and graduate students every year and there are 136 students who received some type of financial assistance.

Financial assistance is awarded at Curtis for the living expenses of its students.
If you want to apply for this assistance, you should not fax or send documents via an email, but rather send them via U.S. mail.
Who's eligible?
The scholarship is available both to U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents and international students, only the requirements differ.
U.S. citizens should provide:
1. 2019-20 Curtis Application for Supplemental Financial Assistance
2. 2019-20 Free Application for Federal Student Aid
3. Signed tax returns
4. Sponsor letter of support, in case they have a financial sponsors
On the other hand, international students should provide:
1. 2019-20 Curtis’ Application for Supplemental Financial Assistance
2. Financial documents
3. Sponsor letter of support, in case they have a financial sponsor.
How to Apply
The application process differ between the domestic and international applicants, but all of them has to fill out and submit the 2019-20 Curtis Application for Supplemental Financial Assistance.
This should be mailed to the following address:
Curtis Institute of Music, Office of Student Financial Assistance, 1726 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
Furthermore, the U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents need to complete and file a 2019-20 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
You can find FAFSA on the Internet, but before you begin the application, make sure you have a PIN so as to be able to sign in.
Your parents should apply for a PIN if you are a dependent student and you will get the PIN within 1 to 5 days.
Once you have the PIN, you can visit the FAFSA home page – http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. and fill out all the necessary fields.
You will be informed either via an email address within 5 days or you will receive a paper SAR in the mail in about two weeks.
You should also submit copies of year 2018 IRS income tax returns for both you and your parents.
International applicants have to submit tax forms from their country available for both them and their parents, official letters from employers stating total wages earned in 2018, the most recent bank statements for all accounts, financial statements for all investments, trust funds, money market funds, certificates of deposit, stocks, bonds, and any other holdings and information on all real estate, business assets, partnerships, corporations or other assets.
It is very important to mention that all documents must be in English and income
figures must be in U.S. dollars.
