Besides the Darius Quimby Memorial Scholarship for High School students, Operation Thank an Officer is offering one more scholarship but this one is open to current college students who are currently pursuing a degree in law enforcement or current law enforcement officials who are pursuing an advanced degree.

The amount of the award is $1,000 and if you meet the eligibility requirements, you are highly encouraged to apply right now, being that the deadline is very soon, on March 1st.
There will be two lucky recipients who will be selected as the most appropriate ones by the scholarship committee.
Applications received after that moment will not be considered for the award.
The students should be able to demonstrate the financial need that they struggle with during their education while achieving excellent grades.
Who's eligible?
The Darius Quimby Scholarship- College is available only to eligible applicants, and those are current college students who are currently pursuing a degree in law enforcement.
The eligible applicants are also current law enforcement officials who are pursuing an advanced degree.
How to Apply
Applying for this award is done online and the system will lead you through the whole process.
What you need to do is to look for a link to the application form one the application procedure starts and write an essay in which you will provide the answer to one of the following questions in 1000 words or less:
• Law enforcement officials demonstrate service above self, describe a time when you have demonstrated service above self and what it taught you.
• Why have you chosen a career in law enforcement and what are your goals?
Applicants must provide all the documents from the application checklist:
They are supposed to upload transcripts.
They need to provide files that will show their honors and awards, extracurricular and volunteer activities.
Make sure you gather all the documents and submit them prior to the deadline, as you are responsible that all files are received on time.
Eligible applicants who submit late or incomplete applications will be rejected.
