EMPOWER Scholarships

Through the generosity of David M. Hersey Endowment Fund, the scholarship program called EMPOWER Scholarship was established. The foundation is administered by the Courage Kenny Foundation who supports students in their education in medical courses or rehabilitation major.

Full Description

The EMPOWER Scholarships through the Courage Kenny Foundation is giving grants to students who wanted to pursue their dreams in college education especially in medical courses. The grants is from the David M. Hersey Endowment Fund which rewards student a yearly scholarship.

Who's eligible?

  • Must be a resident of Minnesota or Western Wisconsin
  • Must be presently enrolled in the schools in Minnesota or Western Wisconsin
  • All ethnically diverse junior or senior students are eligible to apply
  • Should have a minimum of GPA 2 rating
  • Plans to enroll in a healthcare program courses
  • Rendered volunteer works in a number of hours

How to Apply

  • Accomplished an online application form
  • write your essay with regards to volunteer service
  • state your financial needs found in your application form
  • Submit two reference letters from the coordinator certifying your volunteer service indicating your hours and another one from your teacher
  • Furnish a copy of your transcript of records or letter of acceptance from the school you want to enroll
