The main aim of the EPP Undergraduate Scholars Program is to increase the number of students who study and graduate with degrees in targeted academic fields related to NOAA’s mission.

Bear in mind the fact that he preference will be given to students who have completed their sophomore year, attending minority-serving institutions (MSIs), and have recently declared a major in atmospheric, oceanic, or environmental disciplines.
The students will receive awards valued at up to $45,000 during their junior and senior years and there will be even ten recipients.

Who's eligible?
The first thing you should think about is your eligibility.
The eligible applicants for the EPP Undergraduate Scholarship Program must be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals who are currently enrolled as a full-time 2nd-year student in a four-year academic program or transferring from a two-year to a four-year institution, or a 3rd-year student in a five-year program.
Then, they need to be studying a discipline related to NOAA’s programs and mission at an accredited minority-serving institution.
This can be either a college or university within the United States or U.S. territories.
Minority Serving Institutions whose students are eligible for the scholarship are Hispanic Serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, Alaskan-Native Serving Institutions, and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions.
He/she must earn and maintain a minimum 3.2-grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
Not meeting the minimum requirements means that you are not eligible, so you will not be taken into consideration and should not waste their time applying.
