ESET will award a $5,000 scholarship to three young women who are ready to bring different perspectives and approaches to problems related to the issues in cybersecurity.

The ESET Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship is created so as to encourage and empower women, being that they are underrepresented in the field of cybersecurity.
Who's eligible?
The first thing that the interested applicant would have in mind related to the scholarship is how to qualify for it.
Here are the eligibility requirements and if you meet them all, you are highly encouraged to apply for the outstanding $5000 award.
You must be a female enrolled in or accepted to an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in the United States.
A great thing to know is that the graduate/undergraduate program that you are enrolled in does not have to be a “cybersecurity” program, but you have to mention in your application that you want to have a career in the cybersecurity industry.
Additionally, you must have a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a permanent resident ID card.
How to Apply
Another question that eligible applicants might have is what and how to submit the application.
The applicants should have in mind that they must email the following attachments to US-scholarship@eset.com with a subject line of “Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship”:
- Completed application form and completed essay questions which can be downloaded in PDF form from the website
- A copy of an unofficial transcript or acceptance letter as proof of enrollment.
- One letter of recommendation, signed by the recommending party.
It is worth mentioning that essays may be submitted in English or Spanish and that if you happen to be chosen as a finalist, you must participate in a phone interview to be considered for the award and you may be required to supply additional personal or professional references.
The application submission is possible throughout the whole application process, starting from March 15 until April 15.
The winners will be notified by April 26, either via email or phone.
ESET will announce the winners on May 1.
