The Folsom Garden Club was established in 1934 in Folsom and since then, it has done numerous activities for the benefit our community.
One of the greatest benefits is the scholarship for young students interested in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany and other related subjects.

The scholarship which is offered is funded by proceeds from our annual garden tour, “Gardens of Folsom.”
Up to now, more than 42 scholarships were awarded for a total of $57,200.

Who's eligible?
So as to be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant has to be a California resident and a resident of Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado or Yolo County, a temporary resident in Placer, Sacramento, El Dorado or Yolo County attending a college or university within these counties.
Furthermore, the eligible applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and must be a college student who will be entering their sophomore, junior or senior year at an accredited college or university.
He/she has to be majoring in: Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Forestry, Agronomy, Conservation, Plant Pathology, Environmental Concerns or other closely related subjects.
How to Apply
In order that the organization take your application in consideration, you will need to provide the application and all required materials either typed or computer generated.
The Application Form can also be printed legibly with black ink and has to be filled out and signed.
You will also have to submit an official transcript of all coursework is required and the letter in which you will be speaking about your goals, background, personal commitment to career choice and financial need.
Other documents which are required are the List of Honors/Extra-Curricular Activities/Work Experience and two letters of recommendation sent by the author directly to the Folsom Garden Club.
The photo in color, with name noted on back, is also necessary.
All the above mentioned documents should be sent in one packet to the Folsom Garden Club’s Scholarship Chair before April 15.
