The Asian Pacific Fund administers 10 scholarship programs to help undergraduate and graduate students achieve their education goals and one of them is the Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship.
Full Description
The Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship awards o one recipient with a $5,000 annual award which is renewable for up to four years of higher education so that the total award received is $20,000.
It is significant to get familiar with the application timeline and submit all the documents prior to the deadline on March 6th, as late applications will not be considered even though the applicant meets the requirements.
Who's eligible?
If you want to be sure whether you are an eligible applicant for the Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship, you should get familiar with the eligibility requirements determined by the scholarship committee with the aim to make their job in deciding who the most deserving candidate is easier and to limit the number of application forms received.
So as to be accepted as a possible scholarship recipient, you must be an incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college/university and must have a passion for business.
The passion for business does not require that you are pursuing a business major.
Furthermore, the eligible applicants must be first-generation Asian-Americans with a minimum 3.0 GPA and must be able to demonstrate financial need.
They must also be a resident of Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara or Solano County in California to be considered eligible.
The incoming freshman enrolled full-time at an accredited four-year college or university has to demonstrate outstanding citizenship and community service.
There are quite a few requirements to be met, so once you determine that you meet them all, you are highly encouraged to apply for the Frederick and Demi Seguritan Scholarship.
