The Garden Club of America (GCA) Board of Associates Centennial Pollinator Fellowship is available to a current graduate student who will do research on the causes of pollinator decline, in particular bees, bats, butterflies, and moths.

The GCA Board of Associates Centennial Pollinator Fellowship has been established in 2013 and since then it has been supporting independent research in this field.

Who's eligible?

The Garden Club of America Fellowship’s selection criteria is based on the technical merit of the proposed work.

The applicant has to be a graduate student enrolled in U.S. institutions, and a US citizen or green cardholder.

The award might vary in amount, but normally will be in the range of $4,000.

The money can be only used for study and research that will advance the knowledge of pollinator science.

The categories under which applicants may apply are:

  • Effects of nutrition, genetics, pesticides, pathogens, parasites, and disease on pollinators
  • Pollinator habitat development,
  • Plant-pollinator interactions and pollination biology.
  • Research that examines other aspects of pollinator health, including cutting-edge, original concepts

How to Apply

When it comes to the application process for the Garden Club of America Centennial Pollinator Fellowship, these are the most important things for applicants, so make sure you have provided them all:

You will have to write a biography in which you will be describing your background, current educational pursuits, and future plans.

Then, you need to submit a photo that will be 300 PPI 4×6 inch color .jpg photograph.

It should be a headshot with a plain background.

Furthermore, you should provide a résumé of a 2-page max in which there will be details related to your education, professional experience, extra-curricular activities, and honors and awards.
