Women Communicators of Austin is proud to award the Jo Caldwell Meyer Scholarship.
The foundation has been awarding scholarships since 1989 and has donated more than $75,000 to support 50+ students in Central Texas.

The scholarships may be used for the payment of the recipient’s tuition, books, or other direct academic needs.
Who's eligible?
Those who consider themselves eligible are highly encouraged to apply for the Jo Caldwell Meyer Scholarship, while ineligible ones should not waste their time as their applications will not be taken into consideration.
The eligible applicants are only Central Texas college students.
The additional eligibility requirements that have to be met are the following:
The applicant has to be a full-time student currently enrolled with a minimum of 12 hours
He/she has to have a minimum GPA of 3.0
Then, he/she has to have completed a minimum of 30 hours of coursework and demonstrated career commitment in communications or media.
Both male and female students are eligible for this scholarship.

The application procedure for the Jo Caldwell Meyer Scholarship requires that the student completes an essay, and provide a letter of recommendation, transcripts, and a LinkedIn profile.
The documentation that you need to upload with the application form are a current copy of your academic transcripts confirming 30 completed credit hours and a minimum 3.0 GPA, your current class schedule and an essay in which you will speak about the career you have chosen, the reasons for your choice and the statement of financial need.
Letters of recommendation must send directly from the recommender to the scholarship committee at scholarships@wcaustin.org.
Scholarship applications are open through February 1st, and one $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to the most deserving college student demonstrating a career commitment in communications or media.
The deadline for the application submission is March 15th, so make sure that you have submitted all the documentation prior to that moment.
Late applications will not be considered.
