The Joe Francis Haircare Scholarship has the aim to financially support students enrolling in cosmetology school.
Among so many applicants, the selection of the winner will be done by an independent committee composed of the board of directors and others in the professional beauty industry.
If you happen to be the winner, you will be notified via an email and/or postal mail by the end of September.
The award is $1,200.00 per recipient and the money will be paid directly to the cosmetology school of student’s choice.
The eligible applicant must be currently applying for entrance into Cosmetology/Barber School, or actively enrolled in a Cosmetology/Barber program.
If you graduate from Cosmetology or Barber School between the dates of January 1st through August 31st of the current award year, you are not eligible.
The scholarship is not awarded for esthetician, nail, or other career programs.
As a part of the application process, the applicant is required to provide answers to essay questions being that the essay is very important for his/her consideration for this scholarship.
The limit for responses for each question is 250 words and the questions are the following:
The eligible applicants are required to have at least two letters of recommendation.
You are supposed to carefully follow the instructions during the online application process so as to successfully submit two letters of recommendation and the complete application.
The application process lasts from January 1st to June 1st and you are supposed to review your application carefully to include all financial information and respond to each question, considering the fact that incomplete applications cannot be submitted.

The deadline for the application submission is June 1st.
