The Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation is a charitable organization which was named after and is designed to honor Joseph’s spirit.
Its main aim is to recognize students, who like Joseph struggle with dyslexia, and through scholarship programs support and encourage them to believe in themselves and to continue towards achieving higher education goals.
The Joseph James Morelli Legacy Scholarship is designed for high school and college students and is awarded annually in the amount of $500 to $2,500.

Ineligible applicants should not submit application forms, as they will be rejected due to the fact that they do not meet the eligibility criteria.
The lucky awardee can use the scholarship money for tuition, books, testing, tutoring and other things related to his/her education.
Who's eligible?
If you think about applying for the Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation Scholarship, you first need to meet the eligibility criteria.
The requirements are the following:
The applicant has to be a high school or college student who is pursuing a degree in STEM field – science, technology, engineering, and math.
He/she has to have a demonstrated learning disability of dyslexia, dysgraphia and/or dyscalculia.
How to Apply
Once you have determined your eligibility, you need to get acquainted with the application process.
The whole process is done online utilizing the SM Apply program.
You will be able to get access to the application program via the link which will be posted on the scholarship provider’s website once the application procedure starts.
What you need to possess so as to successfully complete the application is an email address, a recommendation letter from a teacher, counselor or other school personnel, documentation of your learning challenge such as a 504, IEP or one-page letter from a teacher or counselor and your most recent transcript, either official or unofficial.
The application process starts on January 2nd and finishes by March 13th.
On May 31st, the applicants are notified about the winners.
