The Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Award has the aim to financially support highly motivated students who have demonstrated strong entrepreneurial spirit and initiative, so they award between $1,000 and $5,000 which the winner can use to pay expensive school tuition and fees.
The Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship is generously funded by entrepreneurs Grace and Ranier Pabilona.
If you happen to be the lucky recipient, the funds will be sent directly to the educational institution.
Full Description
It is important to mention that the scholarship winners will be required to submit a short 1 minute “thank you” video which they need to upload to the organization’s social media.
Who's eligible?
When the Lily Pabilona Emerging Entrepreneur Scholarship is in question, there are both general and specific eligibility requirements that each applicant has to meet so as to be accepted as a possible scholarship winner.
The eligible applicant must be of at least 25% Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity and a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the U.S.
He/she must be either a high school senior or a college student currently enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. vocational, junior college or four-year college/university and must be a full- time, associate/bachelor/master degree-seeking student.
The scholarship is available to students of all majors who have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities
The applicant must have a good academic standing which will be proved by having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Family members of Board members are ineligible for this award.
Specific Eligibility Requirements include the following:
He/she must own and operate a small business and must have been in business for at least one year.
Also, he/she must provide a business plan and/or a link to a business website along with all relevant social media accounts.

The scholarship committee will determine the most deserving candidates based on the following selection criteria:
- Quality of the essay
- Applicant’s current business and its potential impact on the economy
- Academic performance
- Leadership/community service experience and contribution
- Letters of recommendation
- Phone/in-person committee interview
