The Live Nation business includes concerts promotion, sponsorship and advertising, ticketing and artist management and in order to supports students who are eager to have their careers in these fields, they have organized awards.
The scholarships are aimed at young students, aged 12-22 interested in music industry and since its first establishment in 1993 they have offered help to many people with financial needs who later became great artists and music industry leaders.
Full Description
The scholarship applicants should send their application forms from January 7th to March 31st when the competition is closed.
You can apply for one scholarship only and the award winners are announced in May.
Who's eligible?
If you fulfill the following eligibility criteria, you can apply for this excellent scholarship and get a chance of winning it.
You have to be:
- A full-time Junior or Senior with at least 60 credits earned and GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time when you apply for the award,
- Interested in a career that relates to a Live Nation area of business
- Permanent resident of the U.S.
Furthermore, Live Nation employees and their family members are also eligible to apply for this scholarship which is sent directly to the chosen educational institution.
How to Apply
Besides the fact that you need to complete the Scholarship Application Form in order to apply of this award, there are additional requirements that have to be fulfilled.
You will be asked to provide a copy of your college transcript to confirm that your GPA is 3 or higher, a proof of enrollment in the accredited educational institution and two letters of recommendation from professionals and/or instructor.
Also, you will have to write a 500 words essay on the role of music in your life and how it had an impact on you to pursue a career in the music industry.
However, the application essay is necessary for applying, but at the end of the school year, students must write a final impact essay on how the award supported their education and helped them getting closer to reaching their goals.
