Lucie Foundation Photography Scholarship is offering a $3000 scholarship to four eligible individuals to create or continue work on a specific dynamic project related to photography.
The Lucie Foundation is proud to offer various scholarships with the main aim to support emerging talented students and this is only one of many grants that deserving students can get.
The Lucie Foundation wants to support those people interested in the art form of still photography and their support of photography is broad, from Fine Art to Documentary and Photojournalism, to digital and film-based works.

By getting this award, the emerging photographers will be able to produce work that is gripping and original.
Both emerging and established photographers are encouraged to apply for the Lucie Foundation Photography Scholarships and if they happen to be the lucky recipients of theScholarship Program, they will have their work featured in an exhibition at House of Lucie Los Angeles.
Who's eligible?
The scholarship is available only to those who are eligible.
So, make sure you know who can apply and who will be able to get the award prior to applying for it.
The Lucie Emerging Scholarships are open to people who are 18 years and older and they can come from any place worldwide.
However, only those photographers who are enrolled as students in the first five years of their photography career or do not earn the majority of their income from photography are eligible to apply.
Photographers who do not meet the above mentioned requirements are suggested not to apply, as they will not be taken into consideration.
How to Apply
The first thing you need to do is to take a look at the application requirements and only if you are eligible for this award you should apply for it.
You should know what is required to apply so you are suggested to read all the information in regard to eligibility criteria carefully and be sure that your application material is complete.
Incomplete applications will be rejected.
What the eligible applicant has to submit is a Project Proposal.
Each Proposal has to include the Project Start and End Dates, 250-word description of your project, your plan for completing the project, five goals that you plan to accomplish while working on the project, a one-page biography and/or CV and twenty digital images.
You are required to submit your files according to the following specifications:
- JPG only
- 72 DPI
- No file should exceed 2mb
If you have gathered all these files, you should submit the application, but have in mind that you must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered into the competition.
