The Maryland Tech Council is the largest technology trade group.
The Council is interested in the advanced technology and biotechnology communities of Maryland and they are fighting for the advancement and development of the technology community in the Maryland economy.
The Maryland Council awards scholarships every year to support students who want to continue with their advancements and educational achievements at the university, but have financial difficulties to achieve that.
Full Description
Maryland Tech Council (MTC) Scholarships are awarded by the Maryland Tech Council to five graduating high school seniors in Maryland.
This is a one-time scholarship totaling $4,500.
The scholarship is both funded and presented by Alexandria Real Estate at MTC’s Industry Awards Celebration on May 22nd at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
On this celebration, the high school seniors will be awarded with a $4,500 STEM scholarship.
The condition for getting it is that they need to do is to pursue a major in a STEM-related field of study at a public college or university in the state of Maryland.
Who's eligible?
As with any other scholarship, there are certain eligibility requirements that applicant has to meet before applying for it.
Firstly, he/she must be the resident of Maryland.
Secondly, he/she must have committed to attend a public college or university in the state of Maryland which must be a 2-year or 4-year accredited institution and the student must be pursuing a STEM-related field of study.
A STEM related fields are science, technology, engineering, math.

Once the application process starts, you will be able to find the application form on the official website of scholarship provider.
There is also a flyer with all the necessary scholarship information and the link to the online submission form.
You will have to fill in the application form and submit the required additional documentation, but make sure to do that before the end of the application process on March 15th.
If your application form is accepted, you will be among the possible candidates to get this award and the five winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
