The National FFA Organization provides numerous scholarships to students enrolled at various higher education institutions who have great plans and career goals.
By submitting one application you apply for many scholarships offered by this Foundation.
One of the opportunities is the scholarship awarded by MetLife Foundation which was created in 1976 and since then it has provided $744 million in grants.
Its aim is to continue MetLife’s long tradition of dealing with issues that have a positive impact in our communities.

There are ten awards given, one per state and they are valued at $2000 each.
They are non-renewable.

Who's eligible?
This scholarship is created for high school seniors who are pursuing a four-year degree.
So as to be eligible for this scholarship, besides being a high school senior, you will have to seek higher education in the fields of agriculture, agribusiness management, communications, education, journalism, extension, public relations, finance, economics, sales, marketing, engineering, mechanization, technology, plant pathology, plant/animal breeding and genetics, range/soil science or public service and administration in agriculture.
Furthermore, you will have to be a resident of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin or Wyoming required.
How to Apply
If you find yourself eligible and if you fulfill all the above mentioned requirements, then you are encouraged to apply for this award.
When applying, besides filling out the application form with personal data, there will be necessary to provide supporting documentation such as high school transcript or college/university transcript and FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR).
You should upload those documents and in case you do not do that as it is stated in the instructions, your application may remain incomplete and will not be taken into consideration for the scholarship.
Furthermore, all FFA members have a member ID number, so you might be asked to provide it as well.
