Michmerhuizen Family Scholarship was established by Phil and Donna Michmerhuizen in honor of Llewellyn and Catherine Michmerhuizen.
They wanted to praise their strong and faithful commitment to Christian education and provide support to those who have similar dreams and goals in their life which can be reached through higher education, but, unfortunately, have financial struggles on that journey.
The Michmerhuizens are grateful to God so they support the distinctive Christian and excellent academic education Calvin provides to its students.

Applicants would be glad to know that this scholarship is automatically renewable, but only if you gain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
The award amount is $1400, while the number of recipients is determined annually depending on the foundation’s capacities.
Who's eligible?
Not everyone is eligible to get this amazing award, so future applicants first need to get acquainted with the basic criteria and only if it is met, they should submit their applications.
The applicant has to be entering freshman year and has the cumulative high school GPA of 3.00 or higher.
He/she has to be a graduate of Holland Christian High School and show strong Christian character as demonstrated by their love for God, for their family, and for their fellow citizens of God’s kingdom.
There is no limitations when it comes to the major they are pursuing.
Being that this is a need-based scholarship, the financial need will be considered as one of the most important selection criteria.
You should have in mind that the preference will be given to students who are afflicted with multiple sclerosis.
How to Apply
Once the application process starts, you will be able to find the application form on the scholarship provider’s official website and it has to be filled out with accurate and honest answers and submitted.
Make sure to submit all the required documentation prior to the deadline, on January 2nd, as late applications will not be taken into consideration.
When the application process ends, all the eligible applications will be reviewed and the lucky winner, the one who is the most deserving, will be announced and notified about the award.
