The NABA National Scholarship is supporting students interested in studying in the field of accounting, finance, and business professions.
Full Description
Scholarships will be presented at the Scholarship Luncheon during NABA’s National Convention & Expo held from June 9 to 13.
The scholarship amount is $1000 and the number of recipients is determined annually.
Who's eligible?
The scholarship committee has determined who is eligible for the NABA National Scholarship,
The scholarship applicants should get familiar with the following requirements.
The application is allowed to only those students who are of African-American (Black) or of African descent and who are active Student Member of NABA.
Furthermore, the applicants must be currently enrolled at a four-year United States college or university as a full-time undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or first-year senior accounting, finance, or business major or be a full-time graduate student enrolled or accepted into a masters level business program.
Last, but not least, so as to be eligible, the applicant must meet the minimum required grade point average of 3.5 in his/her major and 3.3 overall.
High school students are not eligible for this scholarship.

How to Apply
Once the eligibility is determined, the applicant should get familiar with the application process as well.
He/she must visit the official website and look for the link to a fillable application form which must be completed online.
The National Scholarship Application requires certain additional documentation that the applicant is supposed to provide:
He/she must ask for an official current Academic Transcript from the academic institutions and submit a clear copy of the Student/Permanent Resident Visa.
Additionally, he/she must submit a Current Resume, a Letter of Recommendation written by a member of the accounting/business faculty at your college/university and a Personal Biography which would not be longer than 75 words.
Also, 3 different photos of the applicant and an essay of 500 words or less in which the applicant is supposed to speak about the ways he/she will embody NABA’s motto, “Lifting As We Climb” must be submitted.
