The National Corn Growers Association Community College Scholarship is aimed at people who are pursuing a degree in agricultural, mechanical, construction, engineering, or aviation-related fields of study.
The fund wants to help them further their training by providing five $1,000 scholarships which can be used to broad their educational opportunities and finically support students who are passionate to serve rural America and keep their family farms successful.

If you happen to be the lucky recipient, you will be notified by phone or email in January and the funds will be issued directly to you in May.
The selection of the most deserving candidates for the award will be made according to the following criteria.
- 30% Goals
- 30% Work Ethic
- 30% Ag Knowledge
- 10% Professionalism/Presentation
Who's eligible?
If you are interested in getting the National Corn Growers Association Community College Scholarship, you first need to take a closer look at the eligibility requirements according to which you can see whether you are a good match for the award.
In order to be considered an eligible applicant, you must be an NCGA member or son/daughter of an NCGA member.
The eligible students are those who are pursuing a degree at a technical school or community college.
How to Apply
The application process finishes on December 1st so all the required documents must be submitted by then.
Previous recipients are not eligible to apply.

It is important to provide the whole application packet which must contain the following:
- Completed online application with honest and accurate answers
- Three letters of recommendation from non-family members, one of which should be from a faculty member
- Current resume
- 500-word essay or Link to a 2-3-minute YouTube video on the topic “How I will be an advocate for agriculture in my future career.”
There is only one online application form for three kinds of awards offered by this fund, and the system will match you with the appropriate scholarship.
The scholarship is for one year and can be used to offset tuition, school supplies, or student housing.
