NDS Iager Scholarship is there to help those students who have great academic standing, leadership ability, eagerness to get involved and make a difference in the dairy industry and amazing plans for the future in this field.

Iager scholarships are available due to the great sponsors.
The money for the fund is donated by Mr. and Mrs. Charles lager, well known Maryland Holstein breeders.
Who's eligible?
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you will have to show that you are a contemporary dairy leader who possesses outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the dairy industry.
Also, you will have to be a second year college student in a two-year agricultural college majoring in Dairy or Animal Science.
The recipients of this scholarship will be determined according to their academic standing as well, so they must have a cumulative 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
You do not have to be a National Dairy Shrine member and already honored people are ineligible.
How to Apply
If you are interested in applying for the National Dairy Shrine/Iager Dairy Scholarship you should know that the application process starts on March 1st and ends on April 15th, so it is important to submit the required documentation on time.
What you need to do first is to download the application form which can be found on the official website of the organization and type in your responses.
You should save the file as Iager.Last Name.First Name.doc.
Besides this, you are supposed to send two letters of recommendation and one should be from a faculty member who is familiar with your achievements.
Furthermore, you should provide official transcript showing all high school and college courses.
The application will require that you write a 500 word essay related to your plans for the future in which you will explain why you are interested in the dairy industry.
Also, you should mention your leadership ability, extracurricular activities and the reasons for your interest in the Dairy industry throughout the application process.

If you are chosen, you will receive a confirmation email after May 1st.
