Northern Tier Hardwood Association Community Forests organization offers two types of scholarships: one is NTHA Community Forest Scholarship for High School Seniors and the other is NTHA Forest Resources Scholarship for College Student.

Northern Tier Hardwood Association’s mission is to support the region’s wood industry through the help given to young students who are considered future leaders, so it is offering two $1500 scholarships annually.
Who's eligible?
When it comes to the eligibility requirements, there are certain criteria which have to be met so as to be accepted for this scholarship.
Firstly, the eligible applicants must be accepted to a community/urban forestry, arboriculture, or related field of study, at a technical school, college or university.
As there are two awards, they are designed for two types of students.
For one if the awards, he/she has to be a graduating high school senior accepted to an accredited two-year or four-year college in an applicable field of study, while the other is for a full-time post-secondary student that has already completed successfully one year or more of education at an accredited institution.
They will need to provide 3 references, including one outside of school.
Last, but not the least, the Northern Tier Hardwood Association Community Forests Scholarship is available to High School Seniors in the nine-county area Bradford, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.
How to Apply
If you happen to meet all the above mentioned criteria and you want to try your luck winning the Northern Tier Hardwood Association Community Forests Scholarship, you will need to apply for it.
In order to qualify for the $1500 scholarship, you have to complete the application, in which you willbe aksed to provide personal details as well as include three references of which at least one would be outside of school and one from a forest-related occupation.
The application will also require that you describe on a separate sheet your career goals and interests in Community/Urban Forestry in 250 words or less.

Deadline for the submission is April 30th and the documents sent after it would not be taken into consideration.
