The North Star Scholarship is an annual renewable scholarship created by an anonymous donor.

The APC Co. NorthStar scholarship offers $5,000 that will be used for upcoming academic semesters tuition costs.
Considering the fact that the scholarship can be renewed annually, the applicants should know that they will need to maintain a required cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the end of the year so as to eligible to renew it.
Who's eligible?
When the eligibility criteria are in question, the North Star scholarship is designed to support graduating seniors of North Posey High School with a minimum of 3.0-grade point average who are planning to attend any accredited college or university.
However, the applicants must demonstrate great financial need so as to be accepted as possible scholarship winners.
The scholarship committee determined the Selection criteria according to which the lucky recipients will be selected.
The selection will be based on the application form and the supplemental documents provided with the application.
An eligible applicant is a person who is a resident of New York City metro area enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited degree-granting program in any college in the U.S
A good thing to have in mind is that the preference will be given to people who have not previously been awarded a scholarship through the APC.
How to Apply
If you are interested in applying, you will be glad to know that the guidelines and application forms are available from the Advertising Production Club office or can be downloaded from the APC website.
What you need to submit is a completed hard copy application with the APC office together with registration receipt for the new semester, college transcript and acceptance letter.
The supplemental documents should be two letters of recommendation from school personnel, church leaders, the business community, or others who can speak about the applicant and his/her qualifications.
Applicants need to submit a completed FAFSA or FAFSA4caster report, as well as official grade transcript.
The complete application package must include the scholarship application, official college, and high school transcripts, one signed recommendation letter from a teacher or guidance counselor, one-page resume, proof of acceptance or enrollment at a U.S. university/college communication department and a 500 words essay answering the questions: What is your North Star and how do you define it?”and “How will this scholarship empower you to achieve your goals through the study of communication?”
The deadline for the application submission is October 15th, so make sure you provide all the required documents prior to that moment.
