The main purpose of the OAWWA Undergraduate Advanced Degree Scholarship is to encourage water industry-related education and to support the individuals who are interested in the water industry and the Ohio Section of the American Water Works Association.
The organization noticed the significance of providing financial support to young learners who are trying to reach higher education goals and at the same time do something important to protect our environment.
Full Description
The scholarship will be paid directly to the recipient’s school of choice and can be used for costs associated with the student’s educational expenses.
The Scholarship Committee will award there most deserving winners:
First Prize $4000
Second Prize $3000
Third Prize $2000
This is a great opportunity for you, so do not waste your time and submit the application form prior to the application submission deadline on February 7th.
Ineligible applicants should not submit application forms as they will not be taken into consideration.
Who's eligible?
The eligibility criteria set by the scholarship committee which has to be met if you want to get the award is the following:
Any student residing in Ohio and attending an Ohio accredited institution of higher education in a water industry-related program such as science, engineering, management, computer information systems, etc is eligible to apply for this award.
However, bear in mind the fact that current committee members or their immediate families are not eligible to apply and receive a scholarship.
Also, State Governing Board members who themselves or immediate family members applied for a scholarship cannot vote for scholarship award winners.
How to Apply
If you are wondering what your requirements are when applying for the OAWWA Undergraduate Advanced Degree Scholarship you should know that you will be required to upload three documents to complete your application.
Those documents are your Personal Statement in which you will describe your career goals upon graduation and plans how you will use your experience and education in support of the American Water Works Association.
Then, you need to submit a letter of recommendation from an instructor, professor or dean from your program and a current transcript.
