The Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) noticed the importance of supporting young students in their academic goals and they keep on recognizing their achievements by offering them scholarship opportunities.

Women and underrepresented minorities in the STEM fields are strongly encouraged to apply.

The number of awardees and the amount of the awards is determined each year.

The application deadline is May 24, the moment when all the documents must be submitted and the award selection will be made in August.

Who's eligible?

What we have to offer you are the basic eligibility requirements that you should be familiar with and you must fulfill so as to be considered a possible scholarship winner.

Scholarships are open to community college students who are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per term in STEM-related coursework at an affiliated Community College at the time of application and remain enrolled for the duration of the award.

The student has to be enrolled in STEM or STEM education coursework and maintain good academic standing.

Last, but not the least, the eligible student has to be a U.S. Citizen

How to Apply

Each eligible applicant is highly encouraged to apply for the Oregon Space Grant Consortium Scholarship and Fellowship Program, but he/she has to provide the required application material so as to be considered.

The Student Essay that answers the following questions is obligatory:

What are your interests in STEM and what areas would you like to explore in your academic career?

How do your academic interests relate to the NASA vision and align with one or more of the NASA Mission Directorates?

Also, the letters of recommendation should be submitted and they should address the applicant’s qualifications for this scholarship.

Upon submission of your application, your recommender will receive an email request for the letter and

instructions on how it is to be submitted.

The due date for the letter of recommendation to be submitted is May 31st.

The applicant is supposed to provide Academic Transcript with the online application and unofficial

transcripts from your college or university website are acceptable.
