The scholarship is established in honor of Paul Bernot with the aim to continue helping younger generations in their fight against cancer and achievement of higher education goals at the same time.
They have realized how important their support is in those difficult moments when people have to struggle with both illness and financial issues.

The award amount is $3,000 and it is non-renewable.
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you are suggested to look for another scholarship which will be suitable for you.
Who's eligible?
If you think about applying for the Paul Bernot Memorial Foundation Scholarship, you have to get familiar with the eligibility requirements set by the scholarship committee, so as not to waste your time in case you are not appropriate match for it.
The foundation has the aim to provide financial assistance to deserving students.
But, in order to become possible candidates for this award, students have to be legal residents of the United States of America, plus they need to be pursuing post high school education.
This is not all.
They need to be passionate about sports, athletics, and/or physical fitness, and are currently or have previously been diagnosed/treated for cancer.
How to Apply
The application process is done online, and besides filling out the application form with personal and educational data, students have to submit the physician verification form by which it will be proved that they are diagnosed or were diagnosed for cancer.
Last, but not the least, the applicants must complete an essay which will be up to 500 words in which they will answer the following question – “How I will represent and carry out the mission of the Foundation: to empower athletes impacted by cancer to pursue their passions?”
Once the application process ends, all the accepted applications will be under review, and a winner will be selected in early July.
Make sure that you submit all the documentation before the deadline on June 15th.
The applications which are not complete will be rejected and those candidates will not be taken into consideration for the award.
