The amazing Texas Patriots Tea Party Rick Hope Constitutional Freedom Award is designed to help people with financial need by awarding two scholarships.
The First Place Scholarship Award is $1000 while the Second Place Scholarship Award $500.
Scholarship award is not given to the student directly, but the foundation will pay it to the university, college or trade school.
The Scholarship is given to all High School Seniors in Johnson County public schools, private schools and home schools.
If you consider yourself a deserving graduating high school senior in Johnson County, Texas and you know how to write an original and well done essay on the required topics, you are encouraged to apply for this award.
Make sure to submit the application form and all the other documents on time, prior to deadline on April 1st.
The application form will include your personal data, educational data such as ACT Score and GPA,as well as the essay.
In your essay, you should discuss the following points in less than 2500 words:
a) The role of government intended by the writers of the Constitution of the United States of America.
b) The evolution of that role since 1789.
c) The impact of that evolution on individual freedom, including that of the writer of this essay.
d) The responsibility of citizens to protect and defend the Constitution.

If you happen to be one of the selected applicants, you must be available on April 13th between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at United Cooperative Services in Burleson, on the access road at I-35W and Bethesda Road.
You will have a 10-15 minute interview with members of TPTP scholarship committee to discuss submitted essay and they will determine whether you are a deserving candidate for the scholarship or not.
The finalists will be notified and required to make an oral presentation of their essay at the Texas Patriots Tea Party meeting on Tuesday, on April 23rd at the above United Cooperative Services location.
Only then the winners will be determined and announced at this meeting.
