Full Description
The Science Ambassador Scholarship application process closes on December 9th, and it is significant that you provide all the documents prior to that moment.
An advisory board of women will review applications and select finalists, who will be notified and asked to submit additional materials.
A winner will be announced in April.
Who's eligible?
The application is open to eligible students and those are both undergraduate students and high school seniors.
The Science Ambassador Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship for women studying science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
You do not need to be a U.S. citizen to apply, but you must attend or plan to attend college in the United States or a United States Territory.
How to Apply
If you are wondering how to apply, we have to tell you that you need to make a three–minute video of yourself explaining a STEM topic you are passionate about.
There are many examples of previous applications on the scholarship provider’s winners page so that you can find out what your video should look like.
The most important guidelines are the following:
The video has to be a mini-lecture, not a personal statement.
It has to be creative and should demonstrate your passion for the subject.
Three minutes or less in length is enough and you should speak about any STEM topic.
Last, the video has to be uploaded to YouTube and marked ‘public.’
Once you get familiar with all these requirements and believe that you have a chance of winning this award, you are highly encouraged to apply.
Applications are due December 9th and late or incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.
Then, once your video is received, you will be sent a confirmation email containing a link to your application.
At that moment, you will get a chance to edit your application, including your video link, until applications close.
