The SPE Foundation offers numerous scholarships and one of them is the Society of Plastics Engineers Foundation Scholarship designed to financially support students who have demonstrated or expressed an interest in the plastics industry.

The SPE Foundation scholarship is available only to those applicants who must be in good standing with their colleges and they will get the award estimated to be between $1,000 and $6,000.
The number of awardees and the amount of money received vary each year and are determined annually.

Who's eligible?
When deciding whether to apply for a certain scholarship, you are supposed to first get familiar with the eligibility requirements and only then submit your application.
The criteria for the Society of Plastics Engineers Foundation Scholarship is set by the scholarship committee and it is the following:
- The eligible applicant is the one who is an undergraduate or a graduate student and who attends a university, a four-year college, two-year college or a vocational-tech school
- He/she needs to be studying full-time.
- The scholarship is available only to those students studying Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Engineering/Technology, Industrial Design, Materials Science, Engineering, and Metallurgy, Trade/Technical Specialties.
- They must be majoring in or taking courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics industry.
