Live Nation currently offers three scholarship opportunities and one of them is the Steven J. Finkel scholarship.
The Steven J. Finkel Service Excellence Scholarship Award Amount is amazing $10,000 and the scholarship is established to support the ever-growing customer service expectations of fans, artists and employees within the live entertainment industry.
The scholarship is established in the memory of Steven J. Finkel and it is available thanks to the support of the Living Legacy Foundation.
Full Description
This is a one-time award to be paid directly to a qualified educational institution.
The great thing to know is that the finalists for this scholarship will also be considered for an internship opportunity with Live Nation Entertainment.
Who's eligible?
Here are the eligibility requirements and guidelines which each applicant should be familiar with:
So as to be accepted as a possible scholarship winner, the applicant must be a full-time Junior or Senior enrolled at an accredited college or university at the time of the award.
The applicant must be pursuing a career in live entertainment such as music business management, customer service, hospitality or related fields of study.
Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Live Nation employees and family members are eligible.
Once you determine that you meet them all, you are suggested to submit the application form.
How to Apply
Now that you have met the eligibility criteria, you can start thinking about fulfilling the application requirements:
- Complete the Scholarship Application Form
- Provide a student copy of their college transcript to confirm GPA
- Provide proof of enrollment from the educational institution
- Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from non-Live Nation affiliated industry professionals and/or instructor(s)
- Write an essay proposing innovative customer service ideas for the live entertainment business, which should not exceed 500 words and should include the student’s long term professional goals within the entertainment industry.
If you happen to be the lucky winner, in addition to the application essay, you will be required to write a final impact essay at the end of the school year updating Live Nation on how the funds supported your scholastic journey and progress towards your long-term careers goals.
