The main purpose of the Daystar Student of Excellence Scholarship, just as its name suggests, is to reward students who exhibit excellence through community service.

The Daystar Student of Excellence Scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded to the student who best exhibits excellence and a strong Christ-centered character.
Who's eligible?
Daystar Television Network is offering an academic gift in the amount of $1,000 to a student who meets the following requirements for eligibility determined by the scholarship committee.
First, the students need to be accepted at an accredited college or university in the United States so as to be considered as possible scholarship winners, as the award can be used for educational expenses.
Furthermore, they need to be currently enrolled in one of the following academic programs – Communications, Business, or Divinity/Ministry.
You can increase your chances of winning this amazing award if you complete the activities which can be found on the Daystar Television Network’s official website.
Those who use the Hashtag: #DaystarScholarship on their Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Vimeo accounts will receive special consideration.
Ineligible applicants will not be taken into consideration.
How to Apply
The application process, besides the filled out application form, requires that the applicant write a 400 to 600-word essay which will be about the reasons why the applicant has chosen his/her post-secondary program.
You should also write about some details of your community service, and what it means to exhibit excellence as a follower of Christ.
The essay will play an important role in determining the scholarship winner.
It is very important to submit the application forms, as well as the essay prior to the application deadline on September 30th as late applications will not be accepted, even though the applicant is eligible for the scholarship.
There will be only one winner and he/she will be notified about the award once the application process finishes and all the applications are reviewed.
