The Ed Johnson Memorial Scholarship

FFA gives awards program, to both its members and non-members, with the aim to help them reach higher education and achieve their goals.

So, the main aim of the foundation is to encourage young learners to keep on with their education even though the struggle with financial difficulties.

One of the many scholarships provided by this foundation is The Ed Johnson Memorial Scholarship.

Full Description

There is only one lucky recipient of the scholarship which amount is $1,000 and it is non-renewable.

Who's eligible?

FFA members and non-FFA members are both eligible for this scholarship.

So as to be considered for this award, the applicant must be a high school senior or college student pursuing a four-year degree in agriculture, communication, education, business management, economics, international agriculture, finance, sales and marketing and science, engineering and related specialists except biochemistry, biological science, biotechnology, and marine biology.

Furthermore, he/she has to be admitted to the Ohio State University and be a resident of Ohio.

However, this is not all.

The applicant must exhibit strong leadership skills, have participated in community service, have work experience in the field of agriculture and produce a statement of educational and career goals.

How to Apply

The way you can apply for this scholarship is via an application that is on the organization’s official website and can be easily completed.

It is worth mentioning that the application process starts on November 15th and lasts until the application deadline on January 15th.
