John Galt Solutions awards a $10,000 scholarship annually and the application process and the recipient announcing usually happens in late August.
Who's eligible?
Just as with any other scholarship, the staff has determined the eligibility criteria, being that not all applicants can be considered for this award.
Ineligible ones will be rejected and are suggested not to waste their time applying.
An eligible applicant must be a current student at an accredited institution and be enrolled full-time in a supply management, a supply chain management or a similar program with the intention of seeking a career in the supply chain field.
The purpose of the scholarship is to help support the next generation of expert forecasters and supply chain leaders, so as to be accepted as a possible winner, you must show a strong Commitment to Pursuing a Career in the Field of Business Forecasting or Supply Chain Management.
This can be done by telling the scholarship committee something about your participation in supply chain management associations and other extracurricular activities in the field.
How to Apply
Then, the applicants must have financial need to be considered for the scholarship and should mention in their personal statement their academic, leadership, volunteer, or personal achievements.
The scholarship application process starts with filling out the application form, which must have included a personal statement.
Applicants should upload their personal statement and additional background info and once the application is received, the supply chain experts will review them and announce and notify the winner no later than August 31st.
The winner will be either phoned or emailed immediately following the selection, so submitting the accurate information with your application is very important.
