The Maureen D. Keller Undergraduate Scholarship is awarded by Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences so as to honor Dr. Maureen Keller and her research and education in the field of oceanography.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 15th and late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Now, many people wonder how the Keller Scholarship can be used and a good thing to have in mind is that the winner may spend the money on any aspect of education, such as tuition and fees, books, housing, research, equipment.
Who's eligible?
In case you are interested in applying for the Maureen D. Keller Undergraduate Scholarship award, you have to be one of those students who are eligible to receive the Keller Scholarship.
Those are people who have been participants of the previous year’s Keller BLOOM Program and who are high school seniors at the time of application.
They need to be enrolled in a college/university program for the academic year following the award and have plans to major in one of the STEM fields.
The eligible candidate does not have to be a US citizen, but it is required that the scholar attend a U.S. school.
Being that you get acquainted with the eligibility requirements and determine that you are an ideal candidate for this award, you should not hesitate but apply for it as soon as the application process starts.
How to Apply
The application process requires that the application form combined with supporting documentation has to be provided.
The applicant will be required to submit a transcript from the high school, a 500-word description of what he/she knows about the STEM fields and what he/she has done to spread awareness of what you learned in the Keller BLOOM Program to others.
So as to apply you are required to use the online application site emailed to you by the Keller BLOOM Program Director.
Last, but not least, two letters of recommendation have to be submitted via their online form and your recommenders must use the online submission site emailed to you by the Keller BLOOM Program Director.
