Rhode Island College is has made it possible for students to apply for the Miranda Scholarship.
The application is available at Rhode Island College by a prominent national arts figure.
The main aim of this first-in-the-nation scholarship is to support first-generation, under-served students who have difficulties in making their dreams of earning a bachelor’s degree in the performing arts come true.
This amazing award is available to rising juniors or seniors who will have the opportunity to earn this two-year scholarship.
Who's eligible?
As with any other scholarship, there are certain scholarship criteria according to which the candidates are accepted and the winner is selected.
Not everybody can apply and be accepted for this scholarship, so you are advised to first take a look at the eligibility requirements and only then apply for the award.
The requirements are the following:
The eligible applicant has to be a member of an underrepresented group, as defined by U.S. government census data.
He/she has to be a first-generation college student who is planning to major in Music, Theatre or Dance.
Furthermore, the applicant has to be a full-time enrolled junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
