Rubber Division, ACS offers two $5,000 Undergraduate Scholarships with the aim to financially support those who show the need for it, and who, at the same time, deserves to be supported.

The scholarship money can only be used towards educational expenses and checks will be mailed directly to the college or university.
Who's eligible?
The eligible people for this scholarship are incoming college juniors and seniors with a “B” or better academic average for all of their undergraduate work and a minimum of three semesters or six terms completed.
Previous winners may reapply in their senior year for a second and final year of possible scholarship support
Furthermore, scholarship applicants must be enrolled in a fully accredited university or college in a country where Rubber Division, ACS has a residential subdivision or partner organization – currently the USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil or India.
Applicants for these scholarships may have a major area study in chemistry, physics, chemical or mechanical engineering, polymer science or any other technical discipline relevant to the rubber industry.
A family member of anyone involved in the administration of the scholarship program or the selection of its winners is not eligible to apply for the award.
If you happen to be the scholarship winner, you will have to show a serious interest in full-time professional employment in the rubber industry upon graduation.

If you are sure that you are a perfect match for this award, you should submit your application.
These are all the documentst that your application package should include and you are suggested to send the following items by regular mail as a single package excluding official transcripts.
However, make sure that they will be received before March 1st when the scholarship application process ends.
The eligible applicant should provide a completed Undergraduate Scholarship Application, two or more nomination letters written on company/university letterhead and signed by the professor/nominator, official transcripts from all schools attended which must be mailed by your school registrar via regular mail to:

As a part of the application process, you will be asked to write about your educational and future career goals in 200 words or less.
