The Iowa State Triangle Scholar-Leader Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate credible academics and passion for this field if he wants to get this outstanding award.
The number of awards is determined each year, but usually, there are 3 awardees who get $2,500 each.
The scholarship committee has determined the eligibility requirements just as for any scholarship, being that not everyone is able to get it.
The Triangle Scholar-Leader Scholarship applicant has to be a male enrolled in STEM/Architecture major.
He has to be an incoming transfer, freshman or sophomore full-time student with great academic achievement, meaning that his GPA has to be higher than 3.0.
Last, but not the least, the commitment to community improvement through extracurricular leadership would need to be demonstrated.
If you have determined that you are eligible for the Iowa State Triangle Scholar-Leader Scholarship, you are supposed to submit all the required documents with the completed application form prior to the deadline on February 2nd, being that late applications will not be taken into consideration.
Besides personal details that you need to provide, some of the questions that you will need to answer when filling out the application form are the following:
In maximum 250 words you will have to speak about your High School Extracurricular Activities, Leadership Positions, Volunteering, and Employment history, as well as write a 500-word essay on one of the following topics:
1. What do you want to do with your major? Why?
2. What impact do you hope to have on the world?
3. Tell us about the time you worked hard for a goal. How was or wasn’t it worth it?
You can also upload some additional information such as a recent resume, transcript, letter of recommendation if you believe that they can affect the comettee’s decision.
