The Vercille Voss Graduate Student Scholarship is established in honor of Vercille Voss, who was famous as a longtime Illinois Chapter member and mentor to new members and students.
The scholarship is available thanks to the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) Educational Foundation which has been awarding scholarships to deserving interior design and architecture students since its foundation 72 years ago.
Full Description
The scholarship committee will make a final decision based upon student’s academic achievement, awards and accomplishments, future plans and goals, and letter of recommendation.
The amount awarded is $2,000 and it will be given to only one lucky recipient.
Who's eligible?
When the eligibility requirements are in question, the applicant must be enrolled as a part-time or full-time graduate student at an accredited university.
This scholarship is available only to graduate students who are pursuing a degree in interior design or a related field and who have completed at least four design courses in post-secondary education.
Applicant must demonstrate Proof of eligibility and must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
Furthermore, the applicant must be a graduate student or a postgraduate student who is studying Interior Design or Trade/Technical Specialties.
How to Apply
Once you determine your eligibility and want to apply for the Vercille Voss IFDA Graduate Student Scholarship, you have to bear in mind some application requirements which also have to be fulfilled.
Besides the application form which has to be completed with accurate answers, the applicant is supposed to provide letters of recommendation, an essay, and transcripts.
The applicant’s essay must be between 200 and 400 words long and the applicant should speak about his/her long- and short-term goals, special interests, volunteer activities and the reasons for pursuing a professional career in this field.
To apply for this scholarship, eligible applicants must include four copies of two to three different examples of design work.
Both digital color copies and CDs are acceptable.
