The Victor Agnoni Visual Arts Foundation – VAVAF LGBT Arts Scholarship is open to LGBTQ high school seniors who are entering college with a qualifying visual arts portfolio.
The aim of the award is to encourage young people to continue their education and support them in case they have financial difficulties.

The recipient will receive a $1,500 award.
The scholarship was founded by Nicholas Agnoni so as to honor the memory and loving support of his father, Victor.
Nick’s goal is to equip other LGBT students with the same creative enrichment and support that all the other students have.
Who's eligible?
The eligibility requirements are that the applicant belongs to the LGBTQ community, but he/she need not major in arts in college.
The applicant is required to write on a separate sheet of paper, a 500-word statement answering the question – Why is participating in the arts important to you, and how have you benefited from it?
How to Apply
As part of the application process, the applicants are required to submit the supporting documents, besides the application form.
They are supposed to provide a resume or activity sheet with their achievements, goals, and desires, as well as a letter of recommendation from a person who can prove the abilities and qualifications of the applicant and discuss why he/she is the best candidate for this scholarship.
Furthermore, you need to submit transcripts and a portfolio.
When the portfolio is in question, you should provide 10 images of different works of art on a flash drive that is Mac compatible.
All work should be labeled with the artist’s name, the title of the piece, media, dimensions, and year completed.
The letter of recommendation should be written by the Teacher/ Program Sponsor and should be sent in a sealed envelope as part of the application packet.
The application process consists of downloading and completing the PDF Application Form available on the scholarship provider’s website.
